Lots of fun for kids and adults. Children from two to eight will especially enjoy the farm, what with the trampolines, slides and other play equipment. There is a whole farm of animals to see, feed and hold; rabbits, lambs, calves, birds of prey and ponies. They will love the pony and train rides! The farm's location is amazing; the beautiful hills of Cornwall are dotted with farms as they roll down toward spectacular cliffs and the dramatic Atlantic at Porthcothan Bay and Bedruthan Steps. Geevor tin mine is the largest preserved mining site in the UK, located iIn the far west of Cornwall, on the Atlantic Coast.
Above ground you can visit surface buildings such as the Miners’ Dry, left almost exactly as it was on that day in 1990 when the last working miner left the site. You can walk through the Mill and learn about the processes used to obtain tin concentrate from the ore brought up from the tunnels below.
Dogs are welcome all over the site with the exception of the Underground Tour. The miners searched for tin deep in the ground and far below the sea. Nowadays you can walk through narrow 18th century tunnels with a guide who vividly brings to life the conditions of those times.

Fascinating Bodmin is ideal for a great family holiday, short break or a day visit. It is North Cornwall's largest and most flourishing town and Cornwall's Capital. It is a town that thrives on its past but also provides today's visitors with an interesting and varied experience..
Two central car parks deliver you straight onto Fore Street where you can browse at your leisure in the locally owned craft and food shops as well as the more familiar High Street names. Set within the heart of the town is the 83-acre Beacon Nature Reserve with breath-taking views to moor and coast; a Leisure Centre where you can swim, keep-fit or relax with a steam bath or sauna and nearby Lanhydrock golf course.Within easy walking distance of Bodmin's centre, Mount Folly, there seven fascinating attractions - the Shire Hall, Courtroom Experience; Bodmin and Wenford Railway. The DCLI Military Museum; Town Museum; Bodmin Jail, the largest parish church in Cornwall, St Petroc's and the Camel Trail.
So a stay in, or visit to Bodmin means you can leave the car behind on your days out. Winding out of Bodmin there are walking and cycling trails leading to the South Coast, taking in Lanhydrock, Lostwithiel, Fowey and, what has been described as the 'eighth wonder of the world' - the famous Eden Project.
Head north and you are on the famous Camel Trail- 18 miles of traffic-free walking, cycling and horse riding along the River Camel - where you can make for the edge of enigmatic Bodmin Moor or coastwards, along the lovely Camel Estuary to the market town of Wadebridge and the charming harbour at Padstow.
Within a two miles radius of the town you can take a day out and discover the grand Georgian Houses of Pencarrow and Lanhydrock,- both set in lush gardens and woods as good as any you will see, visit the famous Camel Valley Vineyard and taste the award-winning wines; or just wander through the beautiful Cardinham Woods.
As well as boot, bike and saddle, Bodmin is at the centre of Cornwall's bus routes - steam trains link the town to the Paddington to Penzance main line which passes our door. If that's not enough you can experience the romance of steam with the sooty smells and soporific sounds of a trip on one of the Bodmin & Wenford's steam engines.
