Advertising in the 2012 edition..

For 2012 we are publishing a larger single edition of the Cornwall Tourism Magazine and printing 100,000 copies each year. The 2012 edition will be published in March ready for Easter and the holiday season and is designed to cover the whole year. This ensures your advertisement is promoted to visitors to Cornwall at the start of the main holiday season and also throughout the year to also target the Autumn visitors and those who are booking their holidays and accommodation for the following year.

The advertising rates are listed below and if you do not have a suitable advertisement to use or wish to have one designed for you, we offer a low cost design service including copy creation. Please contact us for more details and pricing information.

Advertising rates.

We have kept our advertising rates as low as possible to reflect the current economic climate and they compare very favorably with the rates for monthly publications. This means you are paying the same costs to advertise for a whole year as you would for one month in other publications.

In addition, our magazine is free to the reader which means its take up is very high and because it is distributed throughout the UK and Cornwall, your businesses visibility is greatly increased both to readers who are coming to Cornwall as well as visitors when they are in Cornwall. No other magazine in Cornwall offers this. In addition to this, the fully readable online version of the magazine effectively doubles your exposure, therefore, we offer you one of the most cost effective ways of promoting your business in Cornwall.

Editorials.

We also provide a full editorial services for businesses. Editorials are very powerful because they tell the story of your business adding the human touch and also increase your chances of attracting more customers. They are typically presented on a double page spread as this allows us to provide a good mix of copy, images and an advertisement element. They can also be provided on a single full page, however, this does understandably limit the available size to do your business the justice it deserves. There are two editorial options.

The first is for us to use one you have created yourself and in this case, the cost is the standard single of double page advertisement charge. The second option is for us to write it for you. This involves us coming out to your business and sampling your products and services, as appropriate and writing the copy element for you. Charges for this vary on location and time spent, etc, however as a guideline, the price ranges are usually around £100.00. Food and Drink - Accommodation - Attractions - Activities sections.

An entry in the Food and Drink - Accommodation - Attractions - Activities sections includes your business name, address, contact number, website link ( as appropriate ) and your cuisine type for Food and Drink related businesses and for Accommodation businesses, your accommodation type, i.e. hotel, holiday park, guest house, farm cottages, apartments, etc number of rooms, etc and all entries are listed by nearest town location.

The entry size is 60 mm x 35 mm ( w x h ) and below is an example of an advertisement for both sections. Please note that due to website publishing considerations, these examples are in a slightly larger scale than will be printed in the magazine. You can also place an 1/8 page advert on these pages and if you place a standard entry listing and an additional 1/8 page advert anywhere in the magazine, we will provide a 10% discount off the total cost. The Sponsorship package enables you to sponsor and edition of the magazine and dramatically increase your businesses visibility. The package includes a choice of Inside cover or Outside back cover, full page internal Advertorial, front cover sponsorship accreditation, a string line or your logo on all non-advertising pages ( a minimum of 35 pages ), active click through's from your advertisement and logo's to your website on the online version of the magazine, a banner ad on the Cornwall Tourism magazine website and a banner ad on the Cornwall Pass website.

This package puts you in front of 100,000 readers per annum ( not including the online version which attracts an addition 50,000 readers per annum ) both inside and external to Cornwall and provides increased visibility on the Cornwall Pass website which attracts huge numbers of visitors. • Quarter page advertisements are all vertical and sized - 93 x 132 mm ( w x h ).
• Half page vertical advertisement - 93 x 270 mm ( w x h ) - Trim size - 103 x 297 mm - Bleed size - 109 x 303 mm.
• Half Page Horizontal advertisement - 190 x 132 mm ( w x h ) - Trim size - 210 x 145 mm - Bleed size - 216 x 151 mm.
• Full page advertisement are sized - 190 x 270 mm ( w x h ) - Trim size - 210 x 297 mm - Bleed size - 216 x 303 mm.
• Double page spread advertisements are sized - 400 x 270 mm ( w x h ) - Trim size - 420 x 297 mm - Bleed size - 426 x 303 mm.

Artwork deadline.

All advertising artwork needs to be with us by Friday 16th March 2012. If you do not have an appropriate advert, we can design one for you for around £150.00. Please check the sizing information above because all adverts where bleeds apply must be the correct sizes otherwise some elements on your advert may be lost. Please contact us for further information.

Invoicing.

We will send you an invoice on receipt of your order for the appropriate amount. All invoices must be paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice.

Cancellations.

The cancellation date for all orders is Friday 17th February 2012 for all pre booked advertising. Any cancellations after this date will be charged at the full rate of invoice or transferred to the next available edition, at our discretion. To advertise in the 2012 edition.

The 2012 edition will be printed in mid March to cater for the early Easter this year, therefore, all advertising copy and images have to be in to us by 17th February 2012.
