Accommodation in Devon - The Coach House Hotel and Restaurant. The Coach House was originally built in 1857 as a carriage house as part of the adjoining Ottery Farm now renamed Ottery House. It was designed by the Duke of Bedford, who owned extensive estates in the area, to form part of a 'model farm'. In 1988 the buidling was sold and the present owners, Ed and Merl Stevens renovated it and turned it into a family home and later converted it to a small hotel.
